Search engines will be more powerful than ever.

As things are now, it is correct to assume that the search engine market industry will continue to grow, but at a faster pace. I think maybe even the computer-illiterate will get to understand what an online business really is. Internet marketing will become very heavy and competitive and online ad spending will continue to increase.

Internet Going Mobile

Mobile phones with internet access are the hype now. Phone manufacturers and carriers should now be stepping up to a more advanced phase in creating phones. SMS messaging will be more popular and, to the annoyance of most, mobile advertising will be more expansive.

Changes in the Social Networks

Social networks and media will either be more strict or more friendly or be ambushed with spam. In any case, I think there'll be many changes in the social sites. Facebook and Myspace already had their share of critics and, in the process, either an improvement or a downfall in theire images. Myspace is definitely beginning to dwindle aside because of its spam-friendly attribute. Social sites with a professional feel to it would definitely gain more ground. Facebook is still struggling whether it will retain its professional side or make more youth-refreshing applications. LinkedIn and Plaxo will get more traffic, I'm sure.

People will become more Internet-conscious of themselves

I am not gonna lie when I say that this is true of me. And I doubt that others aren't feeling the same thing.

As online business and marketing grow more popular, so will people be trying to make themselves more commendable to companies by updating their profiles and be more present online. Even local companies are probably checking their applicants online. It's only natural that applicants gear themselves to be presentable online.
